Creative Producer

Come be a digital + video hero with GoodChat TV

Thanks for taking the time! We can't wait to get to know you.

First, a little about us.

GoodChat TV make the best cause-based videos in Australia.

Our background is in storytelling. We’re not latching onto the latest buzz word here, it’s where we've come from. Foundations in journalism, advocacy and scriptwriting have made us obsessed with the anatomy of a good story … but we are film geeks too and we love a good cut or the magic of lighting. We fuss over all the little things you feel but might not notice. We choose the best filmmakers in the country to make sure our stories come to life with natural warmth and humanity.

Our emphasis is always on real stories, and on really good storytelling. We find interesting people doing amazing, surprising, intriguing things, and we tell their stories beautifully.

We love what we do for the craft, but what gets us out of bed is making a difference. We have the good fortune of working with some of this country’s most forward thinking organisations making a big impact for the greater social good.

We also offer a self education budget to help you master that thing you want to improve on (so long as it's job relevant - you'll have to pay for your own macramé classes)

What kind of videos does GoodChat TV make?

Real Stories

These are short documentaries, or bespoke branded content, using real people. They are our premium, high end video option. More and more orgs are realising just how impactful — and essential — videos are for their causes, and are now breaking away from risk-less, bone-dry stereotypes of yore. Orgs are now investing in filmmakers, prioritising creative ingenuity, and trusting creators to tell their stories - and that's when incredible videos emerge.

Broken Hill | A series for The Climate Council

A fun and uplifting story about a mining town that went green.

Series shared 40,000 times, racking up 4 million organic views on social.

Healthy Canteens | A series of short docs for the Department of Education

A story about a chef who took on a local school canteen, and changed the way students viewed lunch forever.

The 60 second version of this video has just reached 1 million views on social

Solar Citizens | A launch video for The Solar Citizens

Restore and Renew | A launch video for the Royal Botanic Gardens

Short Explainers

These are short videos that insert campaigns into trending online conversations with witty, titles-based, shareable videos. We have made many of these explainers, for clients as varied as The Climate Council, Greenpeace and GetUp! These videos are made for online, and we find they are one of our most shared types of video.

Stop Adani | Australian politicians went on an expensive junket to meet coal billionaire Adani in India. Stop Adani reps crashed their party.

500k organic views

Budget | When Malcolm Turnbull started to signal his love for trickle down economics, GetUp! and GoodChat TV called him out on it.

300k organic views

SA Australia Blackout | When renewable energy unfairly copped the blame for a statewide blackout in South Australia, GoodChat and Climate Council got to work. We turned this video around in 24 hours.

1.1 million organic views and almost 30,000 shares helped turn the debate.
